David Slutsky (State University of New York at Binghamton, B.S., 1995, George Washington University Law School, J.D., 1998) joined Levy Ratner in 1999 after completing a one‑year post‑graduate fellowship with the Service Employees International Union’s legal department in Washington, D.C. Slutsky represents labor unions and individual employees in a variety of industries including health care, utilities, hotel and restaurant, financial services, retail and public sector in all aspects of labor and employment law. This includes litigation in federal and state court and before federal and state administrative agencies, representation and unfair labor practice proceedings before the NLRB, PERB (NY), PERC (NJ), and OCB (NYC), arbitration proceedings, and collective bargaining negotiations. He also has extensive experience in advising unions during organizing drives, including corporate campaigns. Slutsky advises labor unions and non‑profit organizations regarding first amendment activities and injunction actions and has represented clients in federal court on such matters. In addition, he works with the Center for Constitutional Rights as a cooperating attorney.

Slutsky has presented workshops at regional and national lawyers conferences on litigation skills, including Taking and Defending Depositions: A Simulation. He conducts training sessions for union organizers on a variety of substantive legal topics and skills training.
